October Zoom Concert: Dulcian & Bassoon - first rumblings

Featuring some of the earliest solo sonatas, written nearly a century apart, for these two low reed instruments. The dulcian is rooted firmly in the renaissance while the bassoon is thoroughly a creature of the High Baroque. Come hear works by Antonio Bertoli and J. E. Galliard highlighting their contrasting timbres, and explore the various shades of virtuosity that shaped two generations of music.
