Tulio Rondón, piccolo cello

(zoom links for both days/times will be emailed to ticket holders upon purchase)

The piccolo cello is a five-string instrument that was widely used during the Baroque period, one that J. S. Bach used for many of his cantatas, and one that he possibly had in mind when writing his last cello suite in D Major, BWV 1012. Hear Tulio Rondón play this suite on this unusual and beautiful instrument as well as a transcription of Bach’s Violin Sonata No. 2 in A Minor, BWV 1003.
