We’re all familiar with music for dancing, and music for singing, but what about music for playtime, or music for sleep? In December we enjoy the music of France during the reigns of Louis XIV and XV; when dance was king, or at least the king was a dancer, and music and dance extended to all the activities of life from epic to mundane. Featuring music by Marin Marais, Antoine Dornel, and Jean-Marie Leclair.
